Macallan Rare Cask 2022 Release

The 2022 release of Macallan Rare Cask is a rich, sweet single malt with a smooth, velvety texture. Aromas of vanilla, raisins, crunchy apples, lemon and orange fill the nose, complemented by notes of dark chocolate, citrus zesty, sweet raisins, vanilla and oak throughout the palate.

Tasting Notes

NOSE
Tobacco-rich smokiness, with spicy hints of old oak and pepparkakor. Heavily Sherried notes of fig jam and buttery sultana scones give away the whisky's Speyside roots.

PALATE
Damson, dates and Demerara sugar. The earthy and herbaceous peaty elements take their time to reveal themselves.

FINISH
A mixture of dark chocolate, fresh ginger and a whiff of bonfire smoke.
