Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No.4

The fourth batch in Kilkerran's Heavily Peated series! Superb Campbeltown single malt, which boasts a hefty helping of peaty smoke at its heart. For this edition, the distillery has used whisky drawn from 80% ex-bourbon casks, as well as 20% ex-sherry casks. If peaty whisky is your tipple of choice, you definitely can't go wrong with snapping up a bottle of this.

Tasting Notes

NOSE
Scorched malt, heather honey, bonfire smoke with accompanying toasted marshmallow.

PALATE
Sea spray salinity runs all the way through it, joined by waves of brown sugar, caraway, and oak.

FINISH
Lots of dry smoke notes stick around on the finish.
