Glenmorangie A Tale Of Forest

A limited edition release in A Tale Of series by Glenmorangie is inspired by the woodlands near the home of Glenmorangie’s director of whisky creation, Dr Bill Lumsden. In a very unique move the whisky was created from barley that was kilned with botanicals; juniper berries, birch bark, heather flowers and a little peat were added to the fire to dry the malted barley. Matured in refill ex-bourbon casks. The woodland-inspired packaging design was created by famed, Thai illustrator Pomme Chan. Bottled at 46%. 

Tasting Notes

NOSE
Pine, juniper and coriander, along with roasted chestnut and an intriguing whisper of smoke.

PALATE
Whirls of peppermint, eucalyptus and bitter orange followed by vanilla and hints of black liquorice.

FINISH
Lemon, orange and a soft hint of oak.
